Madenler Glass & Framing

Madenler Glass & Framing

Glass, Mirrors & Framing / Local Business

76 years of craft, now findable in search.

Madenler Cam is a family workshop that has been cutting glass, making mirrors, framing pictures and fitting insect screens in Maltepe, Istanbul for 76 years. Every job arrived by word of mouth — they were invisible for searches like "glazier in Maltepe" or "framer near me". We built a site that puts the real depth of the business, above all its hundreds of frame models, on display and makes it findable in local search.

Highlights

A 265-model categorised catalogue

The workshop's entire frame collection was photographed and sorted into Gold & Silver, Wood, Minimal and Artistic. Visitors filter and zoom, then order the model they picked over WhatsApp without setting foot in the shop.

A dedicated page per service

Rather than one combined "our services" list, glass cutting and repair, mirror manufacturing, picture framing and insect screens each got their own page. Each answers its own search intent and can rank in Google independently.

Local SEO down to the neighbourhood

LocalBusiness structured data was set up with map coordinates, opening hours and the specific neighbourhoods served — Bağlarbaşı, Cevizli, Küçükyalı, Altayçeşme, Fındıklı, Gülsuyu and Zümrütevler — supplying the signals "glazier near me" searches depend on.

A quote flow that takes measurements

Instead of a generic contact form, we built a quick-quote form that asks for the artwork's width and height, its type, the frame style and the glass preference. Submitting it delivers a tidy, structured message straight to WhatsApp, so the craftsman never has to ask for dimensions twice.

About the project

The problem we solved

A 76-year-old workshop's biggest assets were its experience and its range — and neither ever left the premises. Customers could only see frame models in person, which meant every order required at least one visit to the shop. In search the business effectively did not exist: someone looking for a glazier in Maltepe would never find Madenler Cam.

Our approach

The conventional route for a local-business site is a short, general brochure. We did the opposite and put the catalogue at the centre, because in this trade the buying decision starts with choosing a model. The page flow follows that logic: visitors browse models first, enter their measurements second, and get in touch last.

Building the catalogue

All 265 frame profiles were photographed individually, then normalised to a standard size and converted to WebP by a batch processing script. Filenames were structured to be legible to search engines rather than left random — for example maltepe-cerceve-20-lik-altin-001. Categories are derived from the filename automatically, so adding a new model requires no manual tagging.

The local SEO setup

Titles and descriptions were written around service-and-district combinations. LocalBusiness and HomeAndConstructionBusiness schemas were marked up with address, phone, coordinates, opening hours and service areas. The Google Business Profile and Instagram account were linked via sameAs, so search engines understand all three records describe the same business.

Under the hood

The site is statically generated with Next.js 14 App Router and served from a CDN. Images are converted to WebP and sized with sharp; the catalogue page stays fast despite 265 images thanks to lazy loading. The www and http variants are folded into a single canonical origin with 308 redirects, so search engines don't treat the site as four separate copies. Traffic is tracked with Vercel Analytics.
